Wanda LaVaughn Lester, age 63 of Belvidere, Tennessee died on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Southern TN Medical Center in Winchester.
She was born May 11, 1950 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of the Dude Orton and Zella Muir.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Minnie Petersen.
Surviving are daughter, Shirley (Todd) Tripp of Belvidere, TN; brother, James Gardine of Paw Paw, IL; sister, Kandis Garcia of Edina, MO; grandson, Clayton Tripp of Decherd, TN; and great-granddaughter, Kimber Tripp.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 9, at the Gerth Funeral Chapel with Leon Buford, pastor of the Pentecostal Church in Memphis, officiating.
Visitation is prior to the service, from 9-10 a.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery, near Crawford.
Memorials are suggested to the Friendship Cemetery and can be left at or mailed to the Gerth Funeral Service.
