Katheryn L. (Hendricks) Ritter of Farmington, IL, formerly of Keokuk and Memphis, died at Farmington Country Manor on March 31st, 2014.
She was born the daughter of Gale and Garnett Hendricks on the McIntire farm west of Memphis August 14, 1921. She attended Memphis schools.
Katheryn married James Ritter in Kirksville, Mo. She worked at Ben Franklin in Memphis, then later at S.S. Kresge and Woolworths, from where she retired. She was a life-long seamstress and made clothes and quilts for herself as well as family and friends. She was a resident of Keokuk, Iowa until 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, Kenneth, and his infant twin brother.
Katheryn is survived by several nieces and nephews, including James McElroy of Skiatook, OK, Ron (Connie) McElroy of Elmwood,IL, and Richard (Diane) Hendricks of Sarasota, FL.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm. on Sunday, April 6th at the Memphis Cemetery with Jack Sumption, pastor of the First Christian Church in Memphis officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice.
