Albert C. England, Jr.

{January 1, 1929 - June 10, 2013}

Waving Flag Albert Commadore England, Jr. 84, of  Keokuk, IA, formerly of Canton, MO, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, at Lexington Square in Keokuk.

The son of Albert C., Sr. and Ethel Marie Straw England, he was born on January 1, 1929 in Red Oak, IA.

He was married to Charlotte Nicol on March 20, 1948 at the First Christian Church in Keokuk and they celebrated sixty-five years of marriage.

Albert worked at Keokuk Electric Metals before moving to Mitchellville, IA. He then worked at the Firestone factory in Des Moines as a tire builder. He retired after thirty-three years.

In 1986, he moved to Canton, MO where he resided until moving to Keokuk in April 2013.

Albert enjoyed woodworking, playing cards and fishing. He enjoyed reading westerns and had many books in his collection.         

Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Richard and Charles, both of Des Moines; granddaughter, Katlyn of Des Moines; grandson, Raymond of Fayetteville, NC; and a sister, Lois of Tacoma, WA.

Gravesite memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wyaconda Cemetery with Reverend Steven Hendricksmeyer officiating.
