Barbara Ann Johnson, 75, of Downing died April 24, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.
She was born the daughter of Kenneth Victor Millhouse and Billie Beatrice (Gilliam) Reynolds on May 24, 1944 in Ottumwa.
Barbara married Paul Jerome Johnson on May 28, 1966 in Escondito, CA. They lived in California for many years where she worked in a nursing home before they moved to Downing in 1979. He preceded her in death on November 15, 2018.
She worked as a beautician for several years, including at DeRosear’s in Memphis, before retiring due to health concerns. Barbara always enjoyed shopping and taking care of other people. She was a very good person who always thought of other people before herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David W.; and sisters, Joyce J. and Linda L.
She is survived by her brothers: Kenneth (Barbara) Millhouse and Garry (Helen) Millhouse; step children: Janice, Sandra and Gary (Judy), all of California; a step great grandchild; two step great-great grandchildren; special nieces: Kim and Terri; special nephew, David; many other relatives.
